number 1 ‘From the Exquisite Mysteries Suite'. ink on paper. signed dated '91. 594 x 420mm These painted sketches were exhibited in 1992. they were the first drawings of Malcolm's shown publicly as opposed to his textile work which he was well known for by that time. The series of work explore Malcolm's musings into how the Pacific artifact being brought back to Europe from the explorations of this part of the world would have been received... as mysteriously exquisite objects.
