the interior with octofoil panel painted in gilt and enamel with ten daimyo and samurai assembled in a group around an unfurled scroll on the ground. The exterior with two panels, one an audience scene, the other women and children in an interior. The borders and body richly detailed with gilt on cobalt blue. Horizontal five-character mark in gilt Kinkozan tsukuru zo and impressed mark Kinkozan tsukuru under the base. Provenance: Auckland estate collection. Dia.245mm
