fine detailed carving, one figure supported on the back of a kneeling figure, all on an oval base, the bowl with original glass inkwell and black stained finish, paua inset eyes. L. 260, H.155mm. Note: This Rotorua school carving has its origins based in the legend of Tamatekapua and Whakaturia stealing the bowl of Uenuku. Carver unknown.
