Welcome to our first Jewellery, Antique and Art Auction to be held at our wonderful new premises 553 Mt. Eden Road, Mt. Eden. We and the rest of New Zealand are gradually getting back to normal and we look forward to seeing you at our auction. We can also offer live online bidding, absentee bidding & phone bidding. In this auction we have on offer items from various estates & private collectors including items from the natural world, toys, books, militaria, NZ fossils, Maori artefacts & folk art, a rare poster of the 1880s Maori boxer Herbert Slade, an impressive Barry Brickell sculpture, plus other NZ pottery. The Modern Movement includes a Liberty’s of London section, Clarice Cliff etc. Waterford glass, KPM hand painted plaque & other European china, good Chinese & Japanese collectables, carvings, ceramics, figures and artwork. The second section opens with an exceptional display of jewellery including large diamond rings & impressive necklaces & bracelets, emerald, ruby, sapphire, kunzite, tanzanite, aquamarine rings & earrings, amber, gold chains, Edith Morris & Ida Hudig pieces, wrist & pocket watches, mantel & wall clocks. Silver includes cutlery, Irish silver, 19thC tray, tea set, bowls, etc. Persian rugs, furniture & decorator items, Black Forest type bear bench, extraordinary large carved lion group, NZ furniture, two vintage shop display cabinets, good dining tables, modern vintage style enameled drawers, designer furniture, a large impressive mirror, garden pots & statuary, greyhounds etc. The art section includes a bronze by Theo Janssen, work by Raymond Ching, Stenberg, Minnie White, Lance O’Gorman, Aston Greathead, Peter Beadle with works from other NZ and international artists.
