circular dial within a brass 'picture frame' case; the signed and dated 1839 fusee verge movement with stepped bridge cock pierced with an eight-pointed star beneath Slow-Fast regulation. The oblong case with urn shaped hanger, four cast brass rosettes on a black leather background frame, convex glazed hinged brass bezel, white enamel dial with Roman numerals and single rail minutes (small repair to enamel); the reverse of the frame infilled with mahogany and with a hinged brass circular cover with conventional comma latch. Old BADA sticker remnants. Case 150 x 110 x 25mm Dial Dia.76mm.
