Note: This work shows Waghorn’s interest in the Central Plateau North Island area, executed in his later more abstract style. He was President of the NZ Academy of Fine Arts from 1967 - 1971 and a member of the Thursday group ( a life class for Wellington artists that meet every Thursday).
