graphite and oil stick on paper, signed and dated '83. 390 x 575mm. Illustrated front cover of Helen Jacobs book 'A Habit of Writing', published 2020 by The Cuba Press. Provenance: From the collection of Elaine Jakobsson (Christchurch, previously Eastbourne, Wellington) a respected poet and author with work published under her pen name Helen Jacobs. The artist of this work, Julia, and Elaine have been very good friends over many years and worked together when they were both living in Eastbourne. Elaine has published over 10 poetry collections and Julia’s paintings have been the cover art on 2 of these.
