of longitudinal form with remains of bengara red lacquer to interior. End-blown, with top insert at the mouth piece long since absent, four finger holes to the top, one below. L.530mm. In later traditional box. Provenance: Purchased in Kyoto 1993, from a private family as an inherited heirloom piece.
