Lot Details

the top with variegated reddish marble, the base with two half drawers over two drop front doors, raised on stylish plinth base and tall square feet. (Some fading). 1190 x 470 x 965mm. Provenance: Escaping Nazi persecution in Berlin in 1938, the vendors family moved to New Zealand. They were unable to take money out of the country, but household items were allowed, so their furniture, porcelain and silverware (made in Berlin, Bresslau and nearby) was able to accompany them on their voyage.
