won by 'Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh', the ovoid body inscribed 'Borough and County of the Town of Poole. Yachting Trophy' and including the coat-of-arms for that town, the other face inscribed 'The Poole and Bournemouth Yachting Week....1948......'. With large reeded loop handles, fitted wide tapered lid with urn finial, the spreading circular pedestal on a square foot, gadroon rims. Mounted on an ebonised square plinth with applied silver band engraved with 'Winners' including for 1949 'Bluebottle' T.R.H. The Princess Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh, K.G., R.N.' and various other winners. Weight 1616gm. H.373mm excl. plinth.
