Stamped maker's monogram mark to base and 'ST. SIL'. Dia.245mm. Weight 638gm. Trenwith was born in Cambridge (N.Z.), during the 1940s she studied at the Otahuhu Technical Institute. She studied painting with Sydney Goldsmith and silversmithing with his wife Millicent. Following the family's move from Otahuhu to Paratai Drive, Trenwith turned the back porch into her workshop where she produced pieces for her family and as wedding gifts for friends. Never interested in selling, her work was featured in an exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery in the 1950s. The London Guild of Silver issued her with her own stamp and sterling mark.
