Untitled Orientalist Balcony Scene, oil on board, signed, 280 x 370mm. CONDITION REPORT: Change in attribution ('after' rather than 'by' Wm. Astley Dolland). Signed left hand side below pot plants ';A. Dolland'. Previously sold at Webb's Auctions, (Fine New Zealand & Foreign Paintings, Auckland, 12/12/2000, Lot No. 427). Framed with glazing, modern gilt frame with a Victorian period moulded gilded slip behind the glass. Mark to gilt in cavetto of lower frame. Overall the work is clean and does not appear to have any surface cleaning, marks, repairs or evident faults. Backed by timber panel, held in with modern staples under paper tape.
