A pair of French Louis XVI style bergères

restrained carved furled ribbon decoration to the gilt wood frames, fluted tapering legs, loose cushions, upholstered in a check pattern fabric in ivory and charcoal. 600 x 600 x 1050mm. CONDITION REPORT. Overall good condition, the fabric is somewhat faded, one image shows the underside of the cushion which is less faded compared to the rest. The cushions are feather filled and have an earlier upholstery fabric inside the new removable covers. The gilding is in good condition with a few chips around the lower feet showing the white of the gesso underneath (could easily be touched up) and one small patch to the back of one chair where the red colour under gilt sizing shows through. No obvious repairs to the structure, no borer, no tears to the upholstery. Additional photos
