plain baluster form, the dome lid with wrythen ovoid finial, the spout and wooden handle supports with restrained acanthus leaf and scroll detail, spreading circular foot. H.255mm. CONDITION REPORT: overall good patina, good/heavy gauge, scattering of small dents to the sides of the body (to the outer surface and only occasionally showing inside), foot ring sits squarely, lid closes squarely, minimal play to hinge, hammer finish visible inside body and lid, handle sockets very tight, foot ring solder and making nicely finished, hallmarks well struck, maker's mark fairly clear, lion passant and maker's inside lid flange also good, finial fixed not screwed, spout simple design. 8.5/10
