A good stone battle-axe hammer-head, probably Nordic Neolithic, pecked and polished finish, blunted tapering poll, cylindrical perforation, wedge shaped blade with small chips to edge. L.130mm. Along with a North American fluted paleo Clovis point, found Erie County, Ohio, L.95mm; and a Clovis (Alabama) Dalton point of cream/white chert, L.82mm. Provenance: The Jorgen Lotz Collection.

'Dchira, Mauritanien 300,000 AR' (Western Sahara); 'La Guerche' (Indre-et-Loire, France); 'El Mekta 6 (Settat, Morocco); the fourth unnamed but described on sale in 2013 as 'Upper Paleolithic Flint, Abbevillian bifacial, amigdala' from Saharan Sudan (El-Fasher)'. Longest 120mm. Provenance: The Jorgen Lotz Collection.
