Provenance: Private Auckland collection, acquired Webb's Auction House, Important Oceanic and African Art, 11 November 2010, lot 44. Formerly from the Merton D. Simpson Collection, accompanied by a certificate from the Merton D. Simpson Gallery signed digitally by Director Juliette Pelletier. Purchased from Sotheby's, June 1985. Previously in the collection of Pierre Robin.
