glazed ceramic and eartherware tile. 390 x 310mm. John Papas (b. 1942) is an established New Zealand artist working primarily in ceramics and oil painting. Originally self-taught, Papas has shown throughout New Zealand and Australia, with works featured in the Waikato Art Museum, the Hocken Library in Dunedin, the National Gallery in Wellington, Dunedin City Gallery and in the permanent collections of the British and New Zealand Governments.
