c.1840, marked on the arc 'Troughton & Simms, London', rosewood handle, polished brass and inlaid silver scale from -5º to 150º, silver vernier divided 0-10 with swivel magnifier, milled screw adjuster and lock clamp, 4 shades (green, absent, red, amber), 3 horizon shades (absent, red, absent), fitted in mahogany keystone box with 7" and 5" telescopes.
