A Georgian oak tilt-top wine table

raised on a plain central column, tripod base with hoof feet. Diameter 760, height 680mm. CONDITION REPORT: Georgian period, has been restored, Quality restoration of a nice table. There is one small impart dent on the top surface and the rule joint joining the two top pieces is fractionally open in part (would benefit from rubbing hard brown wax into joint). Under the pad feet shows wear typical of a period table and there are other small marks that are evidence of age. The column is a 'cannon barrel'. Proportions of the legs to column to top are all good. The legs have hand adzed detail under the archs, they unite at the centre block with a iron strengthening plate with hand wrought nails. The tilting mechanism clasp is replaced with a modern replica. The table legs are stable however the top wobbles very slightly (this could be fixed by a wad of paper between the block and table top)
