Lot Details

the top and aprons with inlaid florals, urns, wreaths, etc, brass binding to the edge, raised on cabriole legs with ormolu sabot feet. 920 x 565 x 770mm. CONDITON REPORT: Two small losses to the crossbanded inlay on the bottom edge of the frieze, one on each side (see additional photos). Sone small marks to the French polish, commensurate with age and careful use. The inlays appear all to be intact. The glue that adheres them has over time seeped somewhat to accumulate around the edge of each inlay as a minute tiny crust. It could be polished away if desired. The bronze rail around the top edge has varnish over it, again depending on the look desired it (and the sabot feet) could be more highly polished if desired. Overall a well made piece with no borer, repairs or faults (above usual wear)
