the case surmounted by a bronze statuette of a sculptress. The white enamel dial and the movement signed 'Hatton'. The eight-day strike wheel mechanism marked Japy Freres, Medaille d'Or 1855'. W.420mm, H.370mm. Provenance: The estate collection of Prof. G. Dawson. CONDITION REPORT: Cast bronze figure, gilt metal base. The gilt surface degraded with dust accretion. Mechanism runs but may require overhaul to run continuously. Bell strike (delicately on bell) works. Sevres panels in good condition - no cracks or repair Enamel dial has multiple hairlines running between the winding holes and off to the margins at IIII and VIII.
