in unissued condition, browned type 3 blade, oval thin crossguard, ribbed handle cast with Nowill crossed keys logo and *D at the ferrule , black painted with minute spots of copper visible. Hexagonal domed tang nut. Blade 6⅞", overall 11⅝". With brown leather scabbard with tabs, blued stapled chape, elastic retainer.
