the blade with straight temper line, the shagreen grip with cord binding. The pierced bronze tsuba with figure under parasol and foliage, coloured gold highlights. The dark finished menuki and kashira with some coloured gilt highlights. The ebonised scabbard with strips of abalone fleck. L.905 overall. Uncommonly with paperwork dated 6 June '46. Stating 'HQ 5 NZENGR COY. CERTIFICATE OF POSSESSION INDIVIDUAL WAR TROPHIES...'
