used for the delivery of Bottled Beer and Soft Drinks. At the agricultural shows in UK each summer these Drays with their immaculate Heavy horses meet in keen competition both for the condition and the horsemanship of the drivers. A Prize winner at the 1986 Royal Norfolk Agricultural Show, this Dray was Imported to New Zealand with four Grey Shires. It was used to promote Lion Red Beer for many years. Today no New Zealand Brewer keeps horses. Note that the trace chains connect two Horses directly to a rigid Bar in the traditional way (no swingle bars ) for horses that pull at a walk. Two lamps. Foot brake that can be used as a park brake. Can be set up also for a single horse using the shafts. No passengers only freight. Driver’s seat is high and the advertising sign sits high above driver. Rear gate folds down. Immaculate condition. Separate complete harness is available for 4 horses along with and extensive spares wardrobe.
