Lot Details
Including: Allan Lamb, Neil Foster, Tim Curtis, Arjuna Ranatunga, Roshin Mahanama, Kumar Sangakkara Sri Lanka toured England in 1988 to play a one-match Test which England won 1-0. This match was tacked on at the end of a long West Indies tour of England (the chaotic four-captains series). Sri Lanka were well beaten at Lord's having been troubled by injuries and illness. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 194 in their first innings, with Ravi Ratnayeke unbeaten on 59. England, having won the toss and elected to field, then replied with a commanding 429, built around Jack Russell's 94 and Graham Gooch's 75. Sri Lanka's second innings improved to 331, but England still had 100 for 3 (chasing just 97) when they secured the win by 7 wickets.
