Lot Details
with gilt brass folding guard, cast with crowned fouled anchor, lion’s head pommel with short mane down backstrap, wire bound rayskin grip, Black and gilt bullion portapee. Blade etching faint and surface oxidisation. Leather scabbard with gilt brass chape and throat with two opposing suspension rings. A smaller sword than the 1827 service pattern, for dress or levée ceremonies. Provenance: Purchased Oldham 2019
