Lot Details
German made 28" blade, etched with owner’s name 'Harry Standish Cook' and navy trophy designs. Proof button “H” above a trefoil. Brass guard with pierced oak leaf panel with USN banner, sea serpent head quillon and conforming knuckle guard, Phrygian helmet-shaped pommel crested with an eagle displayed framed by thirteen stars, wire bound white rayskin grip, gilt bullion portapee. Brass mounted leather scabbard, with two rings mounted with rope design clasps, brass chape with sea serpent drag, throat engraved with owner's initials 'H.S.C'.
