Lot comprises: (i) 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. (ii) NZ Territorial 12 Years Service Medal Read (commissioned in the NZ Chaplains Department in 1911) he served WWI 16/21 as Chaplain to the Forces 4/Class NZEF, he attested 1 Dec 1915 and initially embarked on the 4th December, serving on the Hospital Ship No.2 HMHS Marama on its 1st, 4th and 5th voyages from NZ between 1915-1918, and subsequently with NZ military hospitals and reserve cadet forces until 1925.
